Rules and Regulations for Club Member Participants
No food and drinks in the class room except for water
bottles
-> Consequences: a warning will be put up on our bulletin board if we find that messes are left behind in the class room due to people
bringing foods and drinks in the class room. Warnings are to be taken very seriously, if the rule is broken after two warnings, class observation will be
discontinued for the class breaking this rule.
No class observation other than parents: Only guardians
and parents (two MAX) per child are permitted inside the class room area.
-> Consequences: a warning will be put up on the bulletin. If warning is ignored class observation will be discontinued for the classes
that break the rules for the remaining of the season. Open class observation is only allowed on the last class date of each season.
No Distraction is Permitted During Class: This means,
no one should be entering or exiting the room while class is in session. No one is permitted to roam around the class room during class session. Parents
and students are asked to please keep the class room door closed.
-> Consequences: a warning will be posted on our bulletin, if warning is ignored, open class observation will be closed until the last
class date of the season for that particular class.
No Roaming the Class Room! This rule is absolutely NOT
to be ignored! Children of all ages are not to be roaming the class room area regardless if there is a class in session or not. Kids are not allowed to
climb on tables, rails, or other devices in the room. Kids may not play with KKZ materials, toys, and class accessories unless being used specifically for
class instructed by the instructor.
-> Consequences: If this rule is ignored only one warning will be noted, thereafter immediate action will be taken for the particular
class (class will no longer be permitted in the room except to enter for class (dancers ONLY) and will be asked to exit the class immediately after class
session.
The Bingo Behavior Game
Each season we have a card for each month where the kids have to earn so many points to win the end of the season party of their choice. Each time the class
as a whole more than two or more students are being disruptive the teacher removes/crosses off a point from the game. At the end of the season if the class
have kept enough points, they will get to choose between pizza or cake/ice cream party. If they fall below the minimum they will still be awarded a simple
treat and snack party. If they fail completely, parents will be notified of their behaviors and changes will be addressed along with removal of members
of the program.
Tic Tac Toe Strike Out Game The tic tac toe game is set up as individual member disclipline. If and when a member of the group is not following directions, listening, or
being distractive in the class, the instructor will tap them on the shoulder or point and call out, "STRIKE OUT". The child then goes to our tic
tac toe board and places their name on (Strike One, Strike Out Two, or Strike Out Three). If the child strikes out they are required to take a time out
until called on to re-enter the class or floor. If they Strike OUT (fourth time) they will be required to sit and observe the class for the remaining of
the class. All members that hit the STRIKE OUT board will be permantly on the board until the end of the season. All other names up to strike three are
removed weekly. Any child that continuously strikes out, may need to be dismissed from the program, depending on the situation and agreement between the
teacher, parent, and child.
Shoes and Dress Codes
After any child attends the B & G Club program of six weeks or order outfits/costumes are required to wear dance shoes and proper clothing to class.
Please see the season section for proper shoes for the class.
All clothing must be dance clothing or exercise clothing (t-shirts/leggings/shorts) to class. Students may not wear long sleeve shirts (long sleeve leotards
are fine), pants or shorts with pockets, regular pants or pants with draw strings hanging from the front. We do not allow outfits that expose upper body
parts this includes the shoulders and the waist. Shorts must not be SHORT, where they need to cover up a good part of the thighs.
Students that do not attend in class without proper clothing will be given clothing by the instructor to change for class.
Volunteers and Donations
Due to the fact we have had a terrible time getting more parents to contribute where needed, starting in 2007, parents will be required to sign up for
all shows, performances, and other KKZ activities. On participation application, all parents will be required to either fill in a volunteer position or
donate something for the show or activity. This will help eliminate waiting for parents to sign up, last minute sign up, and parents backing out at the
last minute.
More rules will be posted as they are needed, rules can also
be changed as they are needed. Please review the rules each season for any new rules and changes
